SmartBuild Systems, along with its partners Sherwin-Williams and EagleView, is pleased to announce the launch of a new service available for customers of Sherwin-Williams. Roofing Passport is an integrated platform that completely automates the process of bidding on the reroofing of residential and commercial roofs, using metal panels.
Roofing Passport is a joint effort that marries EagleView’s patented 3D roof geometry generation with the metal and trim specifying capability that SmartBuild built for its industry-leading Post Frame applications.
Once a user enters a street address into Roofing Passport, a 3D model of the roof populates in SmartBuild. The user selects a metal panel from a manufacturers’ inventory and SmartBuild automatically does all the rest:
- Applies sheathing on the entire roof
- Selects all appropriate trims
- Does takeoff on all ancillary materials – screws, clips, adhesives, closure material, penetration boots, etc.
- Generates cut lists and shop drawings
- Calculates labor estimates and material pricing
- Creates the sales contract (via a completely customizable format)
According to Keith Dietzen, SmartBuild’s CEO,
“Roofing Passport is truly a game-changer. Without ever leaving home or the office, a contractor can generate the most accurate bid of their life with less than five minutes of work — and it costs as little as $35. Unlike other systems that require users to manipulate geometry, or tell the software which pieces to use where SmartBuild does all that thinking for you. Bid backlogs become a thing of the past!”
For manufacturers of metal panels, SmartBuild now offers tools for the Post Frame market as well as the Metal Roofing market, that have no equal.
